Nancy Pettinicchio is an Italian-Canadian filmmaker from Tiohtià:ke/Montréal currently living in Tkaronto/Toronto. Their work as a writer, director, and producer in film and podcasting explores themes such as queer identity, intergenerational relationships, and HIV/AIDS. Pettinicchio's first short film Falena (2022) premiered internationally at the Palm Springs ShortFest and received the IMAGE+NATION Best Québec Short Film award. Their documentary short It Will Always End in the End (2025) received the jury’s special mention for Best LGBTQ+ Short at the 2025 Palm Springs ShortFest as well as the Cinematography Award at Montreal's Cinéma sous les étoiles in 2025. Nancy Pettinicchio is currently writing their first feature film By the Grace of God thanks to funding from the Canada Council.
