Nicolas Gebbe
Nicolas Gebbe is a filmmaker, 3D artist and sounddesigner born 1986 in London, currently working in Frankfurt am Main / Germany. 2018 he receives his art diploma at Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach with a film major. He focuses on experimental 3D animation and hybrid film formats. In his work, the familiar spaces we inhabit - and the routines we perform within them - are recontextualized through digital realities. Drawing inspiration from architecture and everyday objects, he creates digital environments that comment on and reinterpret reality. Attributes of these places and processes are isolated, alienated, combined, and distorted. Realms that withdraw themselves from our attention are made visible, viewing habits are questioned. His films have been screened at festivals like Locarno Film Festival, TIFF, Ann Arbor Film Festival and Kurzfilmtage Winterthur.
