Nicolas Lévesque is a photographer and filmmaker. His documentary projects have taken him to various parts of the world, from Latin America to his home in Quebec. His images have been featured in exhibitions and award-winning publications such as Lutte (Éditions La Peuplade) and Derniers souverains (Éditions Poètes de brousse). His documentary film In Guns We Trust was named Best Short Film at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2013, as was Entrevue avec un homme libre (Interview with a Free Man) in 2015, produced by the National Film Board of Canada. Following his documentary Chasseurs de phoques, he produced and directed the new documentary Les Libres, which follows prisoners as they are released and seek a new life. Since 2010, he has also collaborated regularly with Télé-Québec, TV5, RDI, and Radio-Canada in the production of television documentaries.
