Paulo Abreu

Born in Lisbon in 1964, Paulo Abreu is a Portuguese director and cinematographer whose work spans fiction, documentary, and experimental film. He began his career as a freelance filmmaker, creating visual works for dance, music, and theatre, before establishing himself in the realms of cinema and the visual arts. As a cameraman and cinematographer, he has contributed to numerous music videos, documentaries, and both short and feature-length films. His distinctive visual style also extends to video art, with his works featured in various contemporary art exhibitions. Abreu is also known for his experimental films in Super 8 and video, distributed by Lightcone in Paris.
