Trained at the École nationale supérieure Louis Lumière in Noisy-Le-Grand, with a major in image, Pierre Barougier has made a name for himself in both television and film. He started out directing commercials, but quickly became director of photography. He participated in the shooting of In My Skin by Marina de Van and Toute une histoire by Jean Rousselot. Interested more by documentaries, it is by investing in this genre that he himself became a filmmaker, in association with Chloé Ouvrard, in 2001, with Radio La Colifata, centered on the patients of a psychiatric hospital in Buenos Aires, improvising as radio hosts. Since then, from prison cells to classrooms, Pierre Barougier has explored different social groups. In 2007, alongside Olivier Bourgeois, he traveled the world for the ecological feature film Here to Stay. Pierre Barougier is regularly rewarded for his work.
