In 2020, she joined the cinema department of HEAD - Geneva, to complete her film project on the creation of the queer scene in Athens initiated by her childhood friend Zak Kostopoulos. Her film Bitter September was acclaimed by critics and won numerous festival awards.
After the murder of Greek LGBTQI+ activist Zak Kostopoulos, his childhood friend Sophia Farantatou finds herself in the middle of an impasse, between the media storytelling and the archive footage she shot with him.
