Verena Soltiz
Verena Soltiz is an Austrian director, writer, and art director who works across genres, including documentary, music video, television, and advertising. She began her directing career at Austrian public broadcaster ORF. Her commercials, music videos, TV visuals, and documentaries have been presented at festivals and industry around the world and have received numerous awards. Her first feature documentary, 1:1 – Thierry Henry (2011), explores the life and personality of the French football star. The film premiered at Tribeca Cinema in New York. In 2025, she co-directed Girls & Gods with Arash T. Riahi, a documentary written by feminist activist Inna Shevchenko that explores the relationship between feminism, faith, and patriarchal structures through encounters with women from different religious backgrounds.
