A photographer, filmmaker and founder of the GoodPlanet Foundation, Yann Arthus-Bertrand works to promote a humanistic approach to ecology through his passion for wildlife and nature. He is the author of the bestseller Earth from Above and has directed few documentaries such as Home (2009), Human (2015), Woman (2019), Legacy (2021), Vibrant (2022) and Life through the lens (2023). In 2021, Yann Arthus-Bertrand acquired the Vallée de la Millière, a 30-hectare meadow intended for a rewilding project. Since 2023, Arthus-Bertrand has been expanding a photographic project begun in the 1990s, entitled Les Français, by incorporating a more contemporary socio-demographic dimension. More than 50 photo studios have thus been set up across France. His latest film, Nature : a call for a reconciliation, has been screening in France and abroad since February 2025.
