Holding a master’s degree in communication from UQAM, Nadine Gomez has been focusing on directing and creating documentary films for nearly 15 years. She released her first film, The Horse Palace, in 2012, followed by the short film Metro in 2015, created with the support of the “Regards sur Montréal” grant, of which she was the first recipient. Her second feature-length documentary, Exarcheia, The Chanting of Birds, filmed in Athens, Greece, was released in 2018, followed in 2019 by the podcast J’aime Hydro, a co-directed project produced by Théâtre Porte-Parole. In 2023, she was part of the TIFF Filmmaker Talent Lab cohort with her first fiction project, Créatures du hasard, a free adaptation of the book of the same name by Lula Carballo, produced by Les Films Cosmos. Actively involved in her community, she served, among other roles, on the Board of Directors of the Conseil des arts de Montréal from 2018 to 2023, as Chair of the Cinema Committee.
