By choosing subjects she knew well—she used to be the twins' babysitter—filmmaker Justine Martin made a wise choice. The bond of trust she developed with Raphaël and Rémi undoubtedly helped her capture with such finesse this pivotal moment in life: the onset of adolescence, when something, inevitably, begins to shift.

The director captures precious moments between the twins, exchanged glances or averted eyes, a few words or a loaded silence... Everything is expressed through cinema. We feel intimately close to their fraternal relationship, both powerful and made fragile by age and difference.

With stunning cinematography that resonates with the sensitivity of the direction and editing, all delicately underscored by a subtle soundtrack, it's no surprise this film has touched so many hearts. Oasis has enjoyed an exceptional journey since its release, garnering numerous—and well-deserved—honors.
