Éloi Baril graduated from the film program at the Université du Québec à Montréal in 2022. During his studies, he developed his filmmaking skills through several projects, including his first fiction short film, Pour emporter, which was selected for the Fantasia International Film Festival. At the same time, he directed his first feature-length documentary, Her Scream. Through his work as a director and screenwriter, Éloi Baril explores themes that are close to his heart, including family, emancipation, and validation.
