A native of Sept-Îles on Quebec’s North Shore, Etienne Langlois has been passionate about film since he was very young. At the age of 21, he left the tides behind to study film in Montreal. After gaining experience through several comedic, offbeat, and horror short films, he combined his sociopolitical activism with his passion, turning it into his profession. For several years now, he has been producing informational and awareness-raising videos for the community sector, academia, and the Government of Quebec. At the same time, Etienne writes and directs his own projects : Para seguir adelante (2014), Histoires de vélos (2019), Sept-Îles '72 : Archives du monde ordinaire (2024). He aspires to continue his journey in documentary filmmaking, with a few necessary detours into fiction, always striving to inform and inspire.
