Guillaume Cailleau is a French artist, filmmaker, and producer, born in 1978 and now based in Berlin. His work explores innovative ways of addressing political and social issues. His films have been screened at festivals (Berlin, New York, Rotterdam, Edinburgh), and his work has been exhibited in institutions such as the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, the Royal Ontario Museum, the House of World Cultures in Berlin, and the Centre Pompidou. In 2014, he won a Silver Bear at the Berlinale for his short film Laborat. He is also a producer through his company, CASKFILMS. Direct Action is his first feature-length film.
