Iain Gardner is an award-winning animation filmmaker, born in Glasgow, Scotland. He studied at the Glasgow School of Art as well as the Royal College of Art. While still a student, he apprenticed at the renowned Richard Williams Animation Studio, famous for producing Who Framed Roger Rabbit?. Early in his career, he also worked at John Coates' TVC (Television Cartoons), the studio behind Yellow Submarine and The Snowman. His film A Bear Named Wojtek was developed during a writing residency at the Abbaye de Fontevraud in France. His company, Animation Garden, is based at Summerhall in Edinburgh.
