Inès Sieulle is a French artist and director based in Paris. She studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris before joining the Fresnoy - Studio national des arts contemporains and the École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales. Her work aims to shed light on the contemporary social dynamics that surround her. In a trans-disciplinary approach, she links her different artistic experiences in theater, sculpture, video, digital arts and installation to create sensitive forms of narrative in a documentary and fictional approach. During her studies at Le Fresnoy, she directed two films: Le Souffle du Taureau, and Parade. In 2022, Inès Sieulle was awarded the Prix Social Practice Arts by Le Centquatre in partnership with the French Delegation of the Gulbenkian Foundation and the Edmond De Rothschild Foundation for her project in partnership with artist Ana Elena Tejera, Le journal de l'autoroute. Her new short documentary The Oasis I Deserve had its world premiere at IndieLisboa in May 2024, where it won the Grand Prix EMEL du Court Métrage, as well as the Grand Prix Essai & Art Vidéo and the Prix Est Ensemble at the Côté Court festival in Pantin. It has also been exhibited at numerous venues across Europe.
