Recipient of the CALQ Award – Artist of the Year and the Culture Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean Contribution Award in the fall of 2015, Jean-Marc E. Roy's work oscillates between documentary and fiction. Since 1999, several of his films have been screened and awarded here and elsewhere. He recently directed *Bleu Tonnerre* and *Crème de menthe* (at the 47th and 49th Directors' Fortnight in Cannes, respectively). His first feature-length documentary focuses on filmmaker André Forcier (*Des Histoires inventées* – 2018). He is currently developing a feature-length fiction film called *Bijou*.
