To escape the homophobic reality of their homeland, two Brazilian twin brothers are now living in Europe. The first brother has a perfectly legal status in Brussels, the second is an illegal immigrant and lives like a ghost in Berlin. Set during the 2018 Brazilian elections, the brothers' anguish about the future of their country under the rise of far-right candidate Jair Bolsonaro deepens when one of the twins is involved in an accident.

Brazil is one of the countries with the highest number of murders of LGBTQ+ people on a daily basis. In 2018, on the eve of the presidential elections, a climate of fear was building, reinforced by the rise of the far right mouvement and the misogynistic, racist, homophobic, and anti-democratic comments of candidate Jair Bolsonaro who, by his own admission, would be unable to love his son if he turned out to be gay, preferring to see him dead...
In this very personal short film made after having fled Brazil at the time, Páris Cannes presents a fable on exile composed from his experiences and those of his twin brother. If he gladly feeds the narrative of the film with the poetry of his overflowing imagination, the young filmmaker always keeps a foot in reality by mobilizing with great eloquence archive images, sound recordings and elements of their daily life. The result is an original work directed with great energy, where fiction and documentary are in full fusion. A story of resistance and complicity where fraternal love triumphs in the face of human stupidity.
